San Fermin Accommodation

Why stay in a holiday apartment during San Fermin?

San Fermin transforms Pamplona for nine days. The streets of the Old Town fill with music, colour and an energy unlike anything else. To truly experience the festival, you need accommodation that places you at the centre of everything, but also offers a retreat where you can rest at your own pace.

A holiday apartment in Pamplona gives you something a hotel cannot: freedom. Your own kitchen to prepare breakfast before heading out for the bull run, space for your group of friends or family, a washing machine for the white and red clothes that never survive the first morning, and the flexibility to come and go without schedules. Our apartments in the Old Town are right next to Plaza del Castillo, Calle Estafeta and the bull run route. From the balcony of some apartments you can watch the runners pass by every morning at eight.

What is more, staying in a holiday apartment during San Fermin is more cost-effective for groups. You split the cost among everyone, you get more square metres and you live the experience like a true local, not a passing tourist.

Quick guide to San Fermin

July 6, 12:00pm

The Chupinazo

The rocket launched from the Town Hall balcony marks the official start of the festival. Thousands gather in the Consistorial Square with red scarves held high. The most anticipated moment of the year in Pamplona. Arrive at least two hours early for a good spot.

July 7 - 14, 8:00am

The Bull Runs

Every morning, six fighting bulls run 875 metres from the Santo Domingo corrals to the bullring. The run lasts between two and four minutes and can be watched from our apartment balconies on Estafeta Street or from the fences along the route.

July 7 - 14, 9:30am

Giants and Big-Heads

After the bull run, the Giants and Big-Heads procession parades through the Old Town accompanied by pipers. Eight 4-metre-tall giants, big-heads and kilikis roam the streets while children run to receive playful foam taps from the zaldikos.

July 7, 10:00am

The Procession

The procession in honour of San Fermin winds through the Old Town streets from San Lorenzo church to the Cathedral. It is the central religious event of the festival and one of the oldest traditions, with the saint's figure accompanied by authorities and religious floats.

July 6 - 14

Navarrese Gastronomy

San Fermin is also a gastronomic celebration. Pintxos in Old Town bars, chistorra sausage at the fairground stalls, post-run breakfast of migas or tortilla, and dinners at gastronomic societies. Calle Estafeta and San Nicolas are the pintxo-pote epicentres.

July 14, midnight

The Pobre de Mi

At midnight on July 14, thousands gather in the Consistorial Square with lit candles to sing the Pobre de Mi, the farewell to the festival. Candles are extinguished, red scarves are put away and Pamplona begins counting the days until the next San Fermin.

Practical tips for San Fermin

Book in advance

Accommodation in Pamplona sells out months before San Fermin. Book your apartment as soon as possible to secure the best location and price.

Dress in white and red

The traditional outfit is white clothes with a red scarf and sash. Bring several changes of white clothing as they get stained easily. Your apartment with a washing machine will be your best ally.

Watch your belongings

In crowded areas, carry only the essentials: some cash and your phone well secured. Leave valuables in the apartment.

Get around on foot

The Old Town is closed to traffic during the festival. The best way to get around is on foot. Our apartments are in the centre, minutes from everything important.

Eat like a local

Have a hearty breakfast in your apartment before the bull run. At midday, explore the pintxo bars on Calle San Nicolas and Estafeta. Book dinners in advance.

Rest when you can

The festival lasts nine days and the party never stops. Having your own apartment means you can take breaks, have a nap and return to the streets with renewed energy.
